Call for panels - 19th IUAES-WAU Congress New Delhi, India 14-20 October 2023

The call for panels for the 19th IUAES-WAU 2023 Congress 'Marginalities, Uncertainties and World Anthropologies: Enlivening Past and Envisioning Future' in New Delhi is now open.

The Theme of the conference intends to critically look at old hierarchies and marginalities and the way they have been reinforced at the time of contemporary crises. It is also directed towards initiating new debates, looking for fresh ideas by which we may dismantle the old discrepancies and inequalities, and build a new world out of the ruins.

The congress will be held in physical mode however the plenary sessions and some of the special/distinguished lectures will be held in hybrid mode. The congress has planned a series of social and cultural activities and therefore encourages physical presence.

Panel proposals are welcome on any discourse, debate and reflections that resonate with the theme of the conference. Panels will be open to accepting papers from conference participants and the responsibility of selection of papers and inclusivity will lie with the panel convenors.

Round tables, will follow a closed format. The convenors will propose the name of the round table discussants. At least three names of panelists/discussants should be provided at the time of proposal submission. More names can be included later.

Workshops look forward to non-textual, alternate, innovative, sensory, immersive, learning and research experiences.
