ABOUT THE CONTRIBUTORS

John GRIFFITHS, formerly Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Legal Pluralism, was Professor of the Sociology of Law in the Department of Legal Theory, Faculty of Law, University of Groningen, the Netherlands.  His recent research has been primarily concerned with the law on euthanasia in the Netherlands, his writing on which includes his co-authorship of J. Griffiths, A. Bood and H. Weyers, Euthanasia and Law in the Netherlands. Amsterdam: Amsterdam University Press (1998).

Nidhi GUPTA is a Lecturer at Directorate College Education, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur. She is presently on study leave conducting Doctoral Research at the Catholic University, Brussels.

Monique NUIJTEN is a member of the Rural Development Sociology Group in Wageningen Agricultural University, the Netherlands.
